This fundraiser supports a new program at the Centre for Health Innovation: Fear of Cancer Recurrence and Progression.
Playback theatre is a form of improvisational theatre where audience members share their own stories and watch them "played back" by actors and a musician. The actors do not simply re-enact the story, but use sound and movement to illustrate the essence of the story. At the May 22nd event there will be opportunities (but no obligation) to share your own story about cancer.
Tickets are $21.50
Further donations gratefully accepted at the door.
Many thanks to the Ottawa Playback players
for offering this fun, authentic and engaging evening!
This new 4-part online program is for those navigating the emotional and physical challenges that accompany a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and the underlying fear of recurrence and cancer progression. Each session offers peer support and blends evidence-informed elements of mindfulness, movement, breathwork, meditation, and visualization, offering a holistic approach to understanding and engaging with fear.
