Jamie Batsch received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science cum laude from the University of Ottawa in 2011. Jamie also completed her Masters of Science in Nursing along with Nurse Practitioner Diploma at the University of Ottawa in 2017.

Jamie has played a key role in interdisciplinary teams, providing high quality-accessible care to people throughout their lifespan. Jamie has a wealth of experience, having worked in multiple community settings as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) providing high quality primary care services and having previously worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) at the Ottawa Hospital- General Campus on a general surgery unit for 6 years providing excellent post-op care to people that underwent emergency surgery and tumour resections. She has also gained experience through some of her volunteer experiences both at local shelters and abroad on medical caravan in Tanzania.

Jamie is passionate about providing people with holistic care, health education and the tools they need to advocate for themselves within the healthcare system as well as optimize, maintain and improve their well-being. Jamie has also had her own experiences with chronic illness and truly empathizes with her clients' experiences. She strives to fill the diagnostic and therapeutic gaps left open by conventional medicine and working as a team with her clients to achieve their therapeutic goals.

Working outside the box but within the bounds of ethical care, Jamie provides innovative solutions to help people manage their chronic health care conditions. Applying tools like off label medications and medical cannabis, Jamie applies a functional medicine approach that is fully in line with the philosophy and ethic of the CHI.
